OZONATION SYSTEMS FOR AQUACULTURE

We have many full-scale water treatment systems for fish hatcheries, fish farms, ponds, and aquariums, including pools for marine mammals at Zoos. In all these cases chlorine has been eliminated — at the same time the water quality and animal health has greatly improved. These systems are in use in Canada, the USA, Mexico, Europe and Asia. All systems are successful and detailed references for applications closest to your situation are available.

In these applications our ozonation systems are used for a range of results, from the mere suppression to the complete elimination of bacteria, viruses, fungus, and parasites. Some examples of the types of systems that are in use:

1. Single pass water treatments where the source is a well, lake, river or salt water.

2. Closed loop systems where the makeup water is any of the above, and where ozone is used for:
a) flocculation followed by filtration
b) foam fractionation followed by a sludge removal system
c) final sanitation
d) ozone supported bio-filters

3. Effluent sanitation from quarantine stations.

4. Combinations of the above.

How can O3 Water Systems assist you in implementing ozone treatment in your aquaculture operation?

There are hardly two identical aquaculture operations in the world. Our application specialists are ready to review and utilize your existing equipment (such as aeration towers, pumps, filters and buildings) to be fitted for the new purpose. In order to do so most efficiently, please complete and return a Project Form designed for your project. Your answers will be kept in strict confidence. The systems are engineered for fully automatic and worry-free operation, many features are included to prevent an ozone overdose. Any single failure will not result in the killing of the fish.

The ozone generators must be installed in a well ventilated and dust-free room. In most cases only a few square feet of floor space is needed. Detailed instructions for the installation and operation of the equipment will be provided after the project is fully specified, priced, agreed on, and ordered. The systems are easy to operate and maintain. The overall warranty is for three years except on the pumps, where the manufacturer’s warranty is applied (generally one year).
